Lavaca is a diverse and vibrant neighborhood in the heart of Southtown. The Lavaca Neighborhood Association is a non-profit organization run entirely by volunteers who live or work in Lavaca with a mission to enhance the livability of our neighborhood by working to create a beautiful, safe and healthy environment for all.
The LNA advocates to the City, developers, school district, and more; collaborates with other area neighborhoods; hosts community-building events; and works hard to preserve the historical nature of our neighborhood and to progress with the development of our great City.
Our operations are reliant on the funds and volunteerism of registered members. Members get to elect executive board members, serve on committees, and vote on key issues. Your contribution enables our success!
LNA Memberships
*Please note that memberships will need to be renewed annually.
Individual Resident Membership
$15.00
Any Lavaca resident 18 years or older. Membership privileges include voting, holding office, and serving on committees.
Resident Family Membership
$25.00
Covers an entire family at the same residence. Membership privileges include voting, holding office, and serving on committees. Family membership is allotted one vote per household..
Non Resident Property Owner Membership
$30.00
Any person 18 years or older, owning property in the Lavaca Neighborhood. Membership privileges include voting and serving on LNA Board committees.
Associate Membership
$30.00
Persons (age 18+), business, or organization who desires to support the mission of the LNA. May attend meetings and events, serve on certain committees
LNA Business Memberships
*Business memberships are open to both Resident and Non-Resident Businesses. Memberships will need to be renewed annually.
Additional Information for Business Members
Voting rights are reserved for resident businesses only.
Resident businesses get ONE vote as a business owner and ONE vote as a resident family.
Tax Benefit
The LNA has a 501(c)(3) non-profit designation from the IRS, which allows your membership dues to be tax deductible. Please email membership@lavaca.net for details.
Short Term Rental (STR) Businesses
Each STR owner (type 1 or 2) gets ONE vote as a resident business irrespective of how many properties they own within the neighborhood, whether they are owned directly or through LLCs. At this time, advertisement incentives are unavailable to STRs; we defer to established rental advertising/booking platforms like Airbnb and VRBO.
Silver Business Membership

Welcome to Resident & Non-Resident Businesses. Includes advertisement of your business in our e-newsletter once a quarter (first month of the quarter). Voting rights are reserved for resident businesses only.
Gold Business Membership
$200.00
Includes Silver tier benefits, plus advertisement on LNA’s website, and invitation to be on the agenda of any of our general meetings to present your business or pass out samples.
Platinum Business Membership
$500.00
Includes Gold tier benefits, plus repeat advertisement of your business in every e-newsletter (every two weeks), and inclusion of your business logo on LNA merchandise.
